Slower and Deeper Massage.

Progressively slower and progressively deeper. Bodywork that meets the needs and desires of your body. Greater relaxation, increased oxygenation with enhanced tissue absorbtion.

You've had a sressful week at work. Overworked muscles are begging for attention. Mundane pressures drain your energy. You want a massage that works your muscles and soothes away tension; the kindness of healing touch. You want to relax, you want relief from stress, you want to feel good. A temporary vacation and a time to let go of the world.

tranquil studio located in Hayes ValleySlower and Deeper Massage is an alternative to current esoteric and exotic bodywork trends. Based on Swedish, Esalen and Deep Tissue, and a sprinkling of other modalities, the focus is on working the larger muscle groups progressively slower and deeper. I concentrate on the back, shoulders, glutes and back of the legs. Minimal stretching or trigger point work is involved and I forgo the smaller muscle hands and feet. Instead, my movements and strokes designed to awaken your muscle and tissue and release tension and stress. Each stroke builds upon the anticipation of the last. I work intuitively to find just the perfect amount of pressure to bring you to a state of well being and rejuvenation. Slower and more deliberate than Swedish, penetrating yet without the pain of Deep Tissue, combined with the long sublime strokes of Esalen style bodywork make for a truly unique experience. Coupling Conscious Breathwork with my healing energy, it's bodywork that makes you say, "Ahhh... ".

Located in the Hayes Valley district of San Francisco, my studio is relaxing and elegant. With unmetered street parking, finding a space is easy for SF and lends to exploring the shopping district before or after your appointment.
